Audio-only social networking app Clubhouse landed on Android recently. However, the app was limited to users in the US. The popular app is now set to roll out to more countries including India this week.
The app will be available in India, Brazil, Nigeria, Russia and Japan by this Friday. Making the official announcement, Clubhouse tweeted , “Android rollout continues! Japan, Brazil & Russia coming Tuesday, Nigeria and India on Friday; Rest of the world throughout the week, and available worldwide by Friday afternoon.”
Initially for the first year Clubhouse was available only on iOS. Despite limited access, the app managed to grab 10 million users in the first year.
The voice-based social network valued $4 billion in the recent fundraiser. The app gained a lot of popularity last year and is used by several high-profile celebrities, investors, politicians and entrepreneurs. Clubhouse started working on the Android version of the app earlier this year and started the beta testing on May 2021.
For those unaware, Clubhouse is a voice-based audio-only social media app. Once you’re in the Clubhouse you can drop in and out of different chats depending on your areas of interest. You have the choice to pipe in with your thoughts or simply just listen in t what’s happening around various rooms.
