MBA : Collage-cum-Presentation Competition on Atmanirbhar Bharat

Amidst the uncertainties of Corona pandemic, our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi, addressing the nation in his Independence Day speech, raised the slogan of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. He proclaimed that, “A self-reliant Bharat has now become the mantra for 130 crore Indians. I believe in the nation, its people, and our young citizens. We believe in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - The entire world is one family”.

To realize this Swadeshi-oriented globalisation, IPS BUSINESS SCHOOL organized a Collage-making Competition on 4 March 2021 for its 2020-22 MBA Batch on the theme – ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT.

The students were briefed about the significance of Collage, which is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A collage includes magazine and newspaper clippings, ribbons, paint, bits of coloured or handmade papers, portions of other artwork and so on - the art of collage-making, therefore is a powerful vehicle of expressing your thoughts and creativity in a free-flowing manner and also allows the participants to put forward their thoughts in a story-form powerfully.

The competition started at 8:30 AM, in the IPS BUSINESS SCHOOL Activity Hall – which was carefully pre-sanitized, with all the participants entering with newspapers, magazines, scissors and other raw materials and grabbing their seats set in accordance to COVID regulations, bubbling with enthusiasm. The time allotted for collage-making was one and a half hour.

In the second stage, the participants were given ample opportunities to present and showcase their thoughts and creativity. All the students participated enthusiastically along with competitive spirit.

The event was conceptualized and designed by Dr. Ashish Sharma, Chief Strategist, IPS BUSINESS SCHOOL and judged by Dr. Abhineet Saxena and Prof. Bivash Mukherjee. The criteria of judgment were Creativity, Theme and Presentation.

The winning team was led by Ms. Ayushi Gupta with Ayana Mehta, Muskan Gandhi, Saurabh Saini, Ridhima Mathur, Arushi Khandelwal and others.
